Accounts

Share Account

This is an account everyone must have to be a member of the credit union. It is classified as a Savings Account and allows a minimum number of withdrawals. The Share Account must have a balance of $105.00 for a member to qualify for any other credit union service.

Checking Account

This is an account for unlimited deposits and withdrawals through writing checks, ACH transactions or use of a debit card.

Christmas Club Account

This is an account for saving for Christmas expenses. It has a term from November 1 to October 31 each year. Checks for the balance in the account are cut on November 1 for disbursement. Withdrawals are not allowed on this account until the end of the term.

Vacation Club Account

This is an account for saving for vacation expenses. It has no term and allows three (3) withdrawals per year.

Share certificate

This is an account for investment purposes. Terms are from 3 months to 1 year. Interest rate slightly higher than Share Account rate.


Loans

Signature Loans

This is an unsecured loan up to a maximum of $10,000.00 based on certain qualifications and the member’s credit score from their credit report.

Share Secured Loans

This is a loan using the member’s or another member’s shares as collateral to qualify for a low-interest rate. The only qualification is a balance in your share account equal to or greater than the balance of the loan.

New and Used Auto Loans

This is a loan for the purpose of purchasing an automobile. Terms are based on the age and price of the vehicle. Interest rates are based on the member’s credit score.

Farm Equipment and Recreation Loans

This is a loan for the purpose of purchasing farm equipment or boats, ATVs, jet skis, etc. Terms are based on the age and price of the item. Interest rates are based on the member’s credit score.

Other Services

Internet Banking

  • Allows access to all accounts containing your Social Security number as identification.  Can be used to obtain balances, verify posted transactions and make transfers between accounts you have access to

ATM

  • On-site ATM with no fee for member withdrawals.

Safe Deposit Boxes

  • Several different sizes and price ranges to choose from.

Free Notary Service

  • Notary available during business hours.

Financial Counseling

  • Assist members in obtaining a free credit report each year and analyzing the report to give the member guidance in correcting any problem area and how to increase their credit score

Your Time Teller: (1 (800) 547-0905)

  • A 24-hour-a-day service you can use to obtain balances on all your credit union accounts. Also allows transfer of funds between your accounts

Payroll Deduction

  • Employers in our member groups will make a deduction of your choice from your payroll check and send it directly to your credit union account. This deduction can make your loan payment or add to your savings

Direct Deposit

  • Allows electronic deposit of payroll checks from any employer

Debit Cards

  • Allows electronic access to funds in savings and checking accounts at ATM’s and merchant terminals. To disable a lost or stolen card, call 1 (800) 547-0905 and follow the instructions. Then, notify the credit union as soon as we re-open for regular business hours


Insurance

Credit Disability

Insurance coverage offered to a member on approved loans. The coverage is paid by the member within the loan payment. The insurance covers the loan payment (within qualifications) during an extended illness.

GAP Insurance

In the event of a damaged or stolen vehicle, GAP Insurance waives the difference between what your insurance company pays and what you owe on the vehicle if you owe more than the actual cash value paid to you by the insurance company.

Electronic Transactions

  • Allows electronic transactions for withdrawals from member accounts for insurance drafts, paying bills, etc.

Wire Transfers

  • Allows members to transfer funds to another financial institution for deposit into another account. No International Wires are performed

We encourage students and families to start with savings, grants, scholarships, and federal student loans to pay for college. Students and families should evaluate all anticipated monthly loan payments, and how much the student expects to earn in the future, before considering a private student loan.

These loans are made by Sallie Mae Bank or a lender partner. CM Members Credit Union is not the creditor for these loans and is compensated by Sallie Mae for the referral of loan customers.

Smart Option Student Loan and graduate loan products: This information is for students attending participating degree-granting schools. Smart Option Student Loan information is for undergraduates only. Graduate Certificate/Continuing Education coursework is not eligible for MBA, Medical, Dental, and Law School Loans. Borrowers must be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents if the school is located outside of the United States. Non-U.S. citizen borrowers who reside in the U.S. are eligible with a creditworthy cosigner (who must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident) and are required to provide an unexpired government-issued photo ID to verify identity. Applications are subject to a requested minimum loan amount of $1,000. Current credit and other eligibility criteria apply.
Parent Loan: This loan must be used to pay for eligible student expenses at participating degree-granting schools. The student cannot be a borrower or cosigner and is not responsible for repaying the loan. The borrower, cosigner, and student must be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents. If the school issues a refund directly to the student, the borrower and cosigner (if applicable) are still responsible for repaying that amount. Applications are subject to a requested minimum loan amount of $1,000. Current credit and other eligibility criteria apply.

*Although we do not charge a penalty or fee if you prepay your loan, any prepayment will be applied as outlined in your promissory note—first to Unpaid Fees and costs, then to Unpaid Interest, and then to Current Principal.
